Oil Field Cementing is a critical process in the oil and gas exploration and drilling industry all throughout San Angelo, TX.
“It’s not that drilling for oil and gas is bad. It’s not that drilling has to result in environmental destruction…I say it’s all up to the cement job,” writes James Conca, contributor for Forbes magazine.
In fact, Cementing is one of the most crucial steps in oil well completion. Rushing to complete this step, or cutting corners to save costs can carry significant environmental consequences as well as steep profit losses. Sadly, at the end of the drilling process the haste to put a well into production can lead to costly errors. For these reasons, it's essential that you select the right oil field cementers!
Powerflex takes pride in every job. Once the cement casing is in place, your well will maintain operation, production, and profitability. We guarantee it.
Powerflex Services, Inc. provides oil field cementing services that surpass the status quo. We use Weatherford and Cemcrete cement product to ensure that slurry and viscosity levels are the optimum material to protect the well cement casing. This creates a protective environmental sheath for cleaner production.
Cement fills and seals the annulus which is the space between two concentric circles that exists between the casing string and the drilled hole. It has three general purposes: zone isolation and segregation, corrosion control, and formation stability and pipe strength improvement.
Cement forms an extremely strong, nearly impermeable seal from a thin slurry mixture. The properties of the cement slurry mix and its behavior depends on the components and the additives in the cement slurry.
Powerflex Well Cementing Services will help ensure long-term zonal isolation
Cement supports and protects well casings and helps achieve zonal isolation. This step in oil well production is extremely critical to safer, environmentally sound, and profitable wells. Zonal isolation is created and maintained in the wellbore by the cementing process.
Whatever your drilling environment or however remote the location, Powerflex Services, Inc. will go the distance with innovative cementing technologies to offer you a range of cementing solutions to achieve zonal isolation for the life of your well. Choose us to provide any necessary oil field services, and you won't be disappointed.

Keep in mind that oil well cementing is used for a number of different reasons. Basically, cementing protects and seals the wellbore. Most commonly, cementing is used to permanently shut off water penetration into the well. It creates a protective sheath. As a critical step of the completion process of a prospective production well, cementing is used to seal the annulus after a casing string has been run in a wellbore. Additionally, oil field cementers will seal a lost circulation zone, or an area where there is a reduction or absence of flow within the well. In directional drilling, cementing is used to plug and existing well, in order to run a directional well from that point. Finally, cementing is used to plug a well once it is no longer producing in order to abandon it.
